18th Century, Aylesbury, Skidmore’s mule Halfpenny, similar, rev. man hanging from gibbet, p(eye)t above, cap of Liberty, medallion with anchor and monument inscribed peace 1796, liberty and not slavery around, edge grained, 11.20g/6h (DH 16). Good extremely fine with much original colour, well struck, of the highest rarity; only one other specimen known (£400-600)
