18th Century, Aylesbury, Francis Wheeler, Halfpenny, 1797, FW cypher in script capitals, surmounted by the crest of a swan and encircled by wreath of oak and palm, rev. representation of the arms of the Wheeler family, crossed oak branches below, edge plain, 11.38g/10h (DH 4). Most attractive surfaces, brilliant and toned, extremely rare (£400-600)
