17th Century, Chesham, John Grover, Farthings, 1655 (2, same dies), mm. pierced mullet on obv., mullet on rev., 0.76g/6h, 0.37g/12h (Berry & Morley –; BW. 47) [2]. Heavier specimen obverse fair to fine, reverse poor, lighter specimen poor but some detail visible; the two other known specimens of this variety [see lot 927] (£30-40)
