Letter, dated 28 November 1840, from Dr Aquilla Smith at 120 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin to Jacob Burn at 93 Strand, London, on two sides. In good condition (£20-30)

The letter mentions the sending of a copy of Smith’s paper on the Irish coins of Edward IV to Burn [from Transactions of the Royal Irish Academy, 1839] and that Smith has “a paper nearly ready on the Irish coins of Henry VII, and will bring to light in it some most important and authentic evidence on the History of the Irish Coinage during the reign of Henry 6th” [a reference to Smith’s paper published in TRIA,1841]
