William IV (1830-1837), Proof set, 1831, comprising Two Pounds, 15.70g (WR 258), Sovereign, 7.71g (WR 261), Half-Sovereign, 3.78g (WR 267), Crown, 25.92g (ESC 271), Halfcrown, script initials, 14.08g (ESC 658), Shilling, 5.69g (ESC 1266), Sixpence, 2.83g (ESC 1672), Maundy set (ESC 2437), Penny, 18.63g (BMC 1457), Halfpenny, 9.47g (BMC 1463), Farthing, 4.77g (BMC 1468) [14]. Gold with minor surface marks in obverse fields and Half-Sovereign with tiny reverse rim nick, Farthing with toning spot on lower neck, otherwise a brilliant set, silver and copper with attractive matching tones; contained in original maroon fitted leather case (£10,000-12,000)
