1914 Star, with copy clasp (9956 Pte. H. Chorlton, 11/Hrs.; 9593 Pte. J. Leonard, 11/Hrs.) good very fine (2) £100-140

Private Harold Chorlton, 11th Hussars, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 15 August 1914. Serving with the H.Q. 11th Hussars, he was wounded on 24 May 1915. Later served with the Machine Gun Corps, East Yorkshire Regiment and King’s Royal Rifle Corps. With copied m.i.c. and other research. Clasp confirmed. Was awarded the Silver War Badge.

Private Joseph Leonard, 11th Hussars, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 15 August 1914. Later served in the Devon Regiment and Royal Army Service Corps. Latterly a Chelsea Pensioner, he died on 12 January 1970. With copied m.i.c. and other research.
