George Houth was born in Manchester. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the 80th Regiment at Manchester on 6 May 1859, aged 24 years. Served 5 years 8 months in the East Indies. Was discharged on 10 March 1871 being found unfit for further service. With copied service papers and roll extracts.
