Hogwood was a member of the 11th Hussars ’Cherry Pickers’, equipped with scout cars fighting in the Malayan jungle. He was then sent as a reinforcement to the 8th Hussars which were equipped with Centurion tanks for the campaign in Korea. He later returned to the 11th Hussars for service in the BAOR. With a copied group photograph which includes Hogwood.
