Davies, R.A.S.C,.), mounted as worn, the first and last with with official corrections to naming, good very fine (6) £150-200

David William Davies was born in Wrexham in December 1908 and enlisted in the Royal Army Service Corps in February 1928. His subsequent postings included Hong Kong and Shanghai (1930-33) and Palestine (1936-37), prior to further active service in the B.E.F. in the period September 1939 to June 1940 and in the Middle East, from October 1942 until the War’s end. He was discharged at Hastings in December 1952.

Sold with the recipient’s original Regular Army Certificate of Discharge, with confirmation of his entitlement to the above described awards; his Soldiers’ Service and Pay Book, with portrait photograph; Army Certificate of Education, 1st Class, dated at Shanghai, 15 October 1950; War Office retirement letter and two photographs.
