Pair: Private J. J. Moreton, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who died on 26 November 1918

John Joseph Moreton lived in Shirley, Birmingham. Employed as a Labourer, aged 30 years, he enlisted into the Royal Welsh Fusiliers on 20 November 1915. Posted to the 2nd Garrison Battalion in Egypt in March 1916. Suffered an amputation of a leg but died of influenza at the Uffculme Auxiliary Hospital, Moor Green, Birmingham on 26 November 1918, aged 33 years. He was buried in the Shirley (St. James) Churchyard, Solihull. He was the son of Henry and Eliza Moreton, of Marshall Lake Road, Shirley. With copied service papers and m.i.c. on paper and C.D.
