British War and Victory Medals (8983 Pte. F. G. Mitchinson, R.F.C.), good very fine (2) £180-220

Frederick George Mitchinson was born in Paddington, London in 1891 but appears to have settled at Chippenham, Wiltshire. He enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps in September 1915 and, as verified by his service record and other official sources, he was killed in action in France while serving as an Observer in No. 7 Squadron on 4 April 1917. He was entitled to the British War and Victory Medals and was buried in Savy British Cemetery, France; sold with copied research.
