John Kidd was born in and enlisted at Scarborough. Serving in the 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment he was wounded. He died of his wounds at home on 24 July 1917, aged 40 years. He was buried in the Scarborough (Dean Road) Cemetery. With copied casualty details. John Kidd was the son of John and Mary Kidd and husband of Alice Jane Kidd, of 7 Victoria Street, Scarborough.

Frank England was born in Horsforth, West Yorkshire and enlisted at Otley on 10 November 1915, aged 24 years. Served in the Yorkshire Light Infantry and then the Labour Corps. In August 1916 was suffering bronchitis and weak chest contracted by gas poisoning and exposure. Transferred to Class ‘Z’ Reserve in March 1919. With copied service papers and m.i.c.
