Pair: Private G. Elliott, 1/4th (Hallamshire) Battalion York & Lancaster Regiment, who died of wounds, France/Flanders, 24 November 1916

George Elliott was born in Pickering, North Yorkshire and enlisted at Thornton Dale, Yorkshire. Serving with the 1/4th (Hallamshire) Battalion York & Lancaster Regiment, he died of wounds on 24 November 1916., aged 19 years. He was buried in the Warlincourt Halte British Cemetery, Saulty. He was the son of George and Clara Elliott, of Paper Mill Farm, Ellerburne, Pickering.

Medals and plaque mounted in a glass-fronted frame. Also with named memorial scroll, photograph of headstone; photograph of the recipient in uniform; photograph of his father (?) in uniform - these all in individual glazed frames. With copied casualty details.
