Three: Captain C. H. Jones, Royal Welsh Fusiliers

1914-15 Star (Capt., R.W. Fus.); British War and Victory Medals (Capt.) nearly extremely fine (3) £100-140

Prior to the war, Cuthbert Jones was a Railway Assistant Traffic Manager. He was commissioned into the 6th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers T.F. on 12 November 1914. Served as Adjutant of the 2/6th Battalion, January 1915-September 1917. Ranked as Temporary Captain, January 1915-June 1917. Served overseas, 21 January-25 August 1918 and served as an Acting Captain in the 2nd Battalion from 3 August 1918. Was wounded in action at Pozieres, 25 August 1918 - suffering a gunshot wound to the right arm. Demobilised on 15 August 1919. With photograph and copied service papers and war diary extracts.
