William Henry Shaxted was born, lived and enlisted at Margate, Kent. Serving in the 1st Battalion East Kent Regiment (The Buffs), he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 23 June 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. With cap badge added for display purposes.
