Albert Edward Baker lived in Scarborough and enlisted at Skelton. Serving in the 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 2 September 1915. He was killed in action on 23 April 1917. Note: his service number on his medals and m.i.c. is ‘3585’; in ‘Soldiers Died ...’ he is listed as ‘201035’. With copied portrait photograph.
