Daniel Henry St. John O’Connor was born on 24 June 1894. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the 5th Lancers on 15 August 1914 and entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 13 November 1914. Ranked as a Temporary Lieutenant, November 1914-February 1915, he was promoted to that rank on 2 February 1915 and to Captain on 27 March 1918. Ranked as a Captain in the 5th Dragoon Guards in April 1922; he served in the Tank Corps, July 1922-September 1923, serving as a Temporary Major, January-April 1923. Latterly, Captain O’Connor was employed as an Assistant Librarian at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. Sold with copied m.i.c. and other research.
