Three: Private F. White, Hampshire Regiment

Fred White was born in Basingstoke, Hampshire. A Tailor by occupation, he attested for the Hampshire Regiment at Basingstoke on 29 January 1900, aged 18 years, 7 months. With the regiment he served in India, November 1901-February 1903 and Aden Arabia, February 1903-May 1904. Transferred to the Army Reserve in January 1908, he was recalled to the Colours in August 1914. He served in France/Flanders, 31 August 1914-January 1919. With copied service papers and m.i.c. - entitled to the clasp to the 1914 Star. With cap badge added for display purposes.
