Serjeant Walter W. Pickford, 1/16th Battalion London Regiment (Queen’s Westminster Rifles) entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 1 November 1914. With copied m.i.c. - entitled to the clasp to the 1914 Star. Possibly later commissioned into the 2nd King’s African Rifles but m.i.c. states the two W. W. Pickfords are not identical.
