A Second World War ‘N.W. Europe’ M.B.E. group of six awarded to The Reverend E. M. Ozanne, B.A., Chaplain to the Forces 4th Class, Royal Army Chaplains’ Department, late Royal Guernsey Light Infantry

The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, M.B.E. (Military) Member’s 2nd type breast badge, silver; British War and Victory Medals (2-Lieut. E. M. Ozanne); France and Germany Star; Defence and War Medals, these unnamed, mounted as worn, generally extremely fine (6) £200-260

M.B.E. London Gazette 24 January 1946. ‘... in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in North West Europe.’ ‘The Reverend Edgar Major Ozanne, B.A. (157365), Chaplain to the Forces, Fourth Class, Royal Army Chaplains’ Department (Woodbridge).’

In the Great War, Edgar Major Ozanne served as Colour Sergeant/Company Quartermaster Sergeant in the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry before being commissioned into the 2nd (Reserve) Battalion, 25 September 1918.
