Plaque to George Draper awarded to the next of kin of 40509 Private George Draper, 11th Battalion Essex Regiment, formerly of the Bedfordshire Regiment, who was born and lived in Flamstead, Hertfordshire and enlisted at St. Albans. He died of wounds in France/Flanders on 17 October 1918. He was the husband of Ellen Dora Holland (formerly Draper), of 40 Wellington Gardens, Battle, Sussex. Plaque with registered envelope addressed to ‘Mrs E. D. Draper, 107 Battle Road, Silver Hill, St. Leonards-on-Sea’ and ‘Windgrove, ? Hill, Battle, Sussex’.
