Three: Lieutenant C. E. C. Bovey, 11th Hussars, wounded in action, Hooge, 16 November 1914

Charles Edgar Crapper Bovey served in the ranks of the 11th Hussars, 1902-14. As Squadron Quartermaster Sergeant of the 11th Hussars he entered France on 15 August 1914. He was commissioned on 24 November 1914 and promoted to Lieutenant in 1917. Served with the 11th Hussars in France, August 1914-1 April 1915; 16 August-5 October 1916; and 24 July 1917-11 November 1918. Was wounded at Hooge, 16 November 1914. Appointed a Lieutenant in the 13th Hussars in 1919, he retired in 1922. With copied research and copied group photographs. Clasp confirmed.
