Pair: Private B. Jacobs, King’s Royal Rifle Corps

Braham Jacobs enlisted into the 60th Royal Rifle Corps as Private 2527 on 31 December 1878, aged 19 years. In December 1880 he was numbered amongst a draft of men posted to South Africa and there served in the First Boer War. Was attached to the Mounted Infantry in February 1882. In May 1882 he was in Netley Military Hospital. Whilst in England he deserted, March-August 1883. Posted to Egypt in December 1883, he served with the Mounted Infantry and Camel Corps, seeing action at El-Teb. Medically discharged in July 1885. With some copied research. Believed to be a unique clasp combination to the regiment.
