Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 2 clasps, Tel-El-Kebir, The Nile 1884-85 (11 Pte., 2/D. of C.L.I.); Khedive’s Star, 1882, reverse depot impressed, ‘11 H.C.’, first with some pitting, about very fine and better (2) £240-280

Henry Clacey was born in Finchamstead, Wokingham, Berkshire. A Servant by occupation and a member of the 2nd Surrey Militia, he attested for the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry at Aldershot on 7 July 1881, aged 21 years, 9 months. With them he served in Gibraltar, October 1881-July 1882; Malta, July 1882, and Egypt, July 1882-June 1886. He was transferred to the Army Reserve in June 1887 and was discharged on 6 July 1893.
