Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 3rd issue, small letter reverse (1804 Pte. G. Goodman, 11th Hussrs.) good very fine £80-100

Edward Goodman was born in Fakenham, Norfolk. A Weaver by occupation, he attested for the 11th Hussars at King’s Lynn, Norfolk on 1 December 1854, aged 19 years. He served 1 year in the Crimea for which he was awarded the Crimea Medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish Crimea Medal. Was imprisoned, 19 December 1855-12 February 1856. Also served 7 years, 2 months in India. He re-engaged in October 1866; received his Army L.S. & G.C. in April 1875 and was discharged March 1878. With copied service papers and roll extracts.
