Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (3..5 James Bryan, 46 Reg.) contemporary engraved naming, edge bruising, contact marks, good fine £120-150

James Bryan was born in Coolbanaghen, near Maryborough, Queen’s County. A Labourer by occupation, he enrolled into the Queen’s County Regiment of Militia on 5 February 1855, prior to attesting for the 46th Regiment on 21 March 1855, aged 22 years, 1 month. With the regiment he served overseas - 74 days in Malta, 269 days in the Crimea, over two years in Corfu and over 10 years in India. For his services he was awarded the Crimea Medal with clasp and the Turkish Crimea Medal. He was discharged on 15 August 1876 having completed his second period of engagement. With copied service papers.
