William Hardy was born, lived and enlisted at Warrington, Lancashire. As a Private in the Rifle Brigade he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 January 1915. As a Serjeant in the 3rd Battalion he was killed in action on 30 July 1917. He was buried in the Bedford House Cemetery. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
