Great Britain, Foundation Stone of the Newcastle-upon-Tyne Royal Victoria Infirmary Laid, 1900, a silver medal, unsigned, bust of Riley Lord left, rev. legend in 15 lines, 39mm (BHM –); Visit of Edward VII and Queen Alexandra to Vickers, Sons & Maxim Ltd, Sheffield, 1905, a silver award medal, unsigned, conjoined crowned busts right, rev. legend in 12 lines, edge named (Luther F. Liddelow, Nov. 15th 1872), hallmarked hdb Birmingham 1905, 38mm (BHM –); Newcastle-upon-Tyne Tramways Extension Link Completed, 1923, a plated bronze medal by Lomax, Mercury standing, rev. legend on tablet over bridge, boat below, 51mm (BHM 4180; E 1982) [3]. Last very fine, others better; second with swivel suspension and original green ribbon (£40-50)

Riley Lord, mayor of Newcastle 1895-6 and 1899-1900; the second medal was issued named to employees of Vickers, Sons & Maxim with over 30 years’ service
