Austria, Handels und Gewerbekammer für Österreich u-d-Enns, c.1900, a bronze medal by P. Breithut, view of city spires, rev. naked male holding a hunting horn, seated female at right holding tablet, named (Johann Prybil, 1909), 65mm; Weihnachts Ausstellung von u. für d. verein Erwerbende Frauen Wien Gartenbau [Christmas Exhibition of the Society of Female Horticulturalists, Vienna], 1905, an oval gilt-bronze plaque, signed BSV, semi-naked winged female seated, arms at feet, rev. two seated females, 60 x 47mm [2]. Both extremely fine and rare, the latter particularly attractive (£60-80)

Peter Breithut (1869-1930), goldsmith and medallist from Krems, studied under the eminent Bohemian sculptor Prof. Stefan Schwartz and later practised in Vienna and Mannheim
