Mary (1553-1554), Fine Sovereign of 30 shillings, MDLIII [1553], mm. halved rose and castle (over pomegranate on obv.), double annulet stops except after ang, rev. reads inocvl nris, double pellet stops, 15.36gm (SCBI Schneider 707, same dies; N 1956; S 2488). Queen’s facial details weak, otherwise about very fine, reverse better, very rare, especially with this mint-mark (£4,000-4,500)
