Offa (757-796), Penny, Light coinage, Portrait issue, probably London, Ibba, bust right dividing f/ofa/fre/x, rev. ibba in angles of floriate cross with lozenge centre containing a small cross, no ornamentation in angles, 1.19gm (Blunt 65; N 301; S 905). Extremely fine with an excellent portrait, an exceptional coin of the highest rarity; only three specimens of this obverse type believed known (£5,000-7,000)
