Valentinian II and Gratian seated facing, holding globe, Victory and palm-branch between them, t-r at sides, 4.43g (Depeyrot 53/1; S 20177; RIC 90). Numerous reverse surface marks, otherwise good very fine £250-300

Sold with handwritten notes stating ‘Found at Pemberley among some broken concrete rubble...said to have come from Eglington Road, Chingford...27 April 1939’
