Thomas J. Hunt joined the 11th Hussars in 1903 and was posted as a Corporal to the Irish Cavalry Depot, Dublin in November 1912; as such he missed the early part of the regiment’s war service in the Great War. Awarded the Army L.S. & G.C. in 1923. The XI Hussar Journal records that he won many awards for Musketry, including the Colonels Cup twice. With copied research and copied photographs of the recipient.
