Henry Inman was born in the Parish of Holyrood, Southampton, Hampshire. A Coach Builder by occupation, he attested for the Royal Marines on 14 June 1848, aged 23 years. Served as a Private in the Royal Marines in the Crimean War, serving on H.M.S. Ardent. With copied attestation papers and roll extracts - only Azoff clasp confirmed.
