France, Massacres in Galicia, 1846, a cast bronze medal by D. d’Angers, chained figure of Liberty standing beneath gallows, rev. torch and sword divided by legend in 11 lines, 73mm (Paris Exh. Cat. 1966, –; BDM –; cf. DNW 42, 1393). Minor rim bruising, otherwise very fine and patinated, rare; pierced for suspension (£100-150)
