‘The ship’s head or water closet’, a superb brass, copper and ceramic ship’s lavatory, the blue and white bowl profusely decorated with classical Italian scenes, 28cm diameter, this contained within a copper outer case; complete with the majority of the original flushing mechanism, etc, the whole approximately, 43cm high by 60cm across. The ceramic bowl with crazing to the glaze and the blue a little faded, otherwise in remarkable condition considering its provenance, and worthy of restoration to its former glory!! (£500-700)
