John William Green was born in Kensal Green and lived and enlisted at Deptford. Serving in the 19th (County of London) Battalion (St. Pancras) London Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders on 22 May 1917, aged 33 years. He was buried in Bedford House Cemetery, Zillebeke. He was the son of John and Ann Green, of 8 Hood Street, Deptford, London.
