Frank Gardiner was born in and enlisted at Keswick, Cumberland. He was the son of John and Mary Gardiner, of 93 Main Street, Keswick. Serving with the 8th Battalion Border Regiment, he died of wounds on 27 October 1916, aged 29 years and was buried in the Wimereux Communal Cemetery. With copied casualty details.
