Private John Hughes, 2nd Battalion King’s Own Scottish Borderers, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 15 August 1914. He was discharged due to wounds on 17 April 1915 and awarded the Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied roll extract and m.i.c. - clasp confirmed.
