Private Henry Rudge, 6th Dragoons, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 12 August 1914. Served in the 4th Cavalry Brigade in Allenby’s Cavalry Division. At Mons the regiment held the position at Conde and at Le Cateau it held the position at Ligny. It arrived to save the day at Nery. Rudge later transferred to the Army Veterinary Corps. With copied m.i.c. - clasp not confirmed.
