The ‘Vichy’ Croix de Guerre attributed to André Wetterwald who was born in Guebwiller in the department of Haut-Rhin on 21 October 1907. In adult life he was employed as an Architect. He was mobilised on 26 August 1939 as a Corporal in the Train de Equipages, having previously served in the Army. He was demobilised at Perigueux in 1941.
