James Oliver was born in Hawick, Scotland. A Stockman by occupation and a former member of the Border Rifles, he attested for the 86th Machine Gun Battalion at Hamilton on 8 September 1915. With CMGC shoulder title and copied attestation papers.

Arthur Philbey enlisted on 9 August 1914. Served with the M.G.C. (Cavalry). Was wounded in action - receiving a gunshot wound to the right elbow. As a consequence he was discharged on 1 November 1918 and awarded a Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied m.i.c. and roll extract.

Medals to Sydney Webster with postcard photograph of the recipient, M.G.C. badge and shoulder title and copied m.i.c.
