William Wilson was born and lived in Askham, Cumberland and enlisted at Dunfermline. Serving in the 10th Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 12 October 1916, aged 25 years and buried at the Warlencourt British Cemetery.
