Charles Edward Bailey was born in Battersea, London in 1893, the son of Charles Thomas and Ethel Bailey. As a Private in the K.R.R.C. he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 December 1914. As an Acting Corporal in the 4th Battalion he died of wounds on 10 May 1915, aged 22 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. With copied research.
