Herbert Bennett was born and lived in Folkestone, Kent and enlisted at Ramsgate. Serving in the ‘B’ Squadron, 11th Hussars he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 15 August 1914. He was killed in action on 1 November 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. With copied m.i.c. - clasp not confirmed.
