4864 Private W. Benson, 1st Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers, reported ‘missing’ whilst serving with Gough’s Mounted Infantry at Blood River Poort, 17 September 1901. He was later able to rejoin Gough’s M.I. Also served in the 2nd Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers. With copied roll extracts.
