Pair: Private G. Fisher, 64th Foot, dangerously wounded at Cawnpore, 28 November 1857, later dying of his wounds

India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Persia (G. Fisher, 64th Foot); Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Defence of Lucknow (Geo. Fisher, 64th Regt.) contact marks, some edge bruising, nearly very fine and better (2) £1400-1800

Private George Fisher, 64th Foot, served in the Persian Expedition, being present at Reshire, Bushire, Koosh-ab and Mohamrah. After which he served in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny, being part of the First Relief Force under Sir Henry Havelock, going to the aid of the defenders of Lucknow. Fisher was dangerously wounded at Cawnpore, 28 November 1857 and later died of his wounds. With copied roll extract for the Persia clasp, dated 15 May 1858 on which he is listed as ‘Dead’.
