India General Service 1895-1902, 1 clasp, Punjab Frontier 1897-98 (1830 Pte. P. Campbell, 2d Bn. Arg. & Suth’d. Higrs.) very fine £120-160

Peter Campbell was born in Bray, Dublin. A Gardener’s Labourer by occupation and a member of the 4th Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (Militia) attested for regular service in the regiment at Camp Ewing on 28 June 1893. With the 2nd Battalion he served in the East Indies, February 1895-April 1902 and thence with the 1st Battalion in South Africa, April 1902-September 1902. He was transferred to the Army Reserve in December 1902 and discharged on 27 June 1905. With copied service papers and roll extracts. Entitled to the Q.S.A. with clasp for South Africa 1902.
