Afghanistan 1878-80, 2 clasps, Charasia, Kabul (40B/629 Pte. H. G. Pink, 67th Foot) edge bruising, contact marks, nearly very fine £200-250

Henry George Pink was born in Portsea, Hampshire. A Bricklayer’s Labourer by occupation, he attested for the 40th Brigade at Portsmouth on 30 March 1877, aged 18 years, 5 months. Posted to the 67th/Hampshire Regiment, he served in India, December 1878-April 1879, Afghanistan, April 1879-August 1880, India, August 1880-May 1881; East Indies, September 1883-February 1888. For his services he was awarded the above medal and the I.G.S. Medal with clasp for Burma 1885-87. Discharged in May 1889 due to ‘debility’. With copied service papers.
