William J. May was born on 2 March 1914. He entered military service on 23 September 1941. He died on 15 May 1989 and was interred in the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell.

With a copied photograph of May being awarded a medal. With modern 1st Air Force patch; Technical Sergeant stripes and an English made Combat Crew patch for display purposes.
